... the Lehigh Valley Railroad #95011, type M930 NE, is a steel caboose built by the LV in its shops at Sayer, Pennsylvania. It was one of the group: Phase 1, Lot 4, numbered 95001 to 95014 and turned out between May 10 and August 23 of 1941. It last served with CONRAIL as CR #18698. Lehigh Valley #95011 was recovered, returned to Sayer in 1991 and repainted in an early red LV livery (Cornell Red was not introduced until 1945 on FT road diesels) and is presently owned by the Sayre Historical Society, preserved and displayed on the grounds of the former LV Sayre Train Station.
The original watercolor painting of this Lehigh Valley Caboose #65011, was sold/ won through a raffle at the Sayre Historical Society's annual "Caboose Day" event on Saturday... June 25, 2016.
