Maydelle Turntable . Texas State Railroad . Watercolor . 12" x 16"

... The St. Louis - San Francisco Railway built this turntable in the late 1890s at their Paris, Texas rail yard. The Texas State Railroad
acquired the turntable in 1981 and moved it and restored it at their facilities in Maydelle. The Texas State Railroad presently owns three
different Baldwin steam locomotives, one 4-6-0 Cooke and one 2-10-4 Lima. It also operates two different ALCO diesel electric engines.
The Baldwin locomotive number 300, illustrated on the Maydelle turntable, is a 2-8-0 "Pershing" originally built for the U.S. Army in 1917.
This watercolor was painted for a Bella Terra Maps publication.

A Giclee Print is available of this watercolor painting / railroad art.
