Andrew Cicon's Farm . Watercolor . 12" x 16"

... Andrew Cicon was my neighbor.
This was the morning view, from my studio... painted soon after we moved in here.
There is a running spring, in the hollow below the house, that feeds into the Unami Creek. Plowed up artifacts have confirmed that this was the site of a Lenni Lenape hunting campsite.
By the end of 1990... Andrew was gone and his farm had been bought by a real estate developer.
Andrew got $250K for the entire farm... the McMansions sold for $750K each... chemical lawns & the stormwater runoff is horrendous.
You wouldn't recognize the place today.

A Giclee Print is available of this watercolor painting / farm art.
