Watercolor… dawn… July, 2012… Newfoundland. When I can… I like to visit lighthouses during a sunrise or sunset… the lighting is usually spectacular. This is Fox Point, also known as Fishing Point, located slightly beyond the village of St. Anthony at the tip of the upper peninsula of Newfoundland. Later… we went for the classic tourist’s boat ride into the North Atlantic and saw dozens of frolicking, feeding, humpback whales… one of them breached at least 2/3rd’s of it’s length, about fifty feet from the boat we were bouncing around in… and… finally… I got to see a massive iceberg up close. Newfoundland is amazing.
