Watercolor… on Peggy’s Point, Nova Scotia… I have read that this lighthouse and the adjacent, little fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, is the most photographed site in all of Canada. And it very well could be… it’s certainly picturesque and was absolutely crawling with busloads of tourists when I was there. The octagonal, concrete and steel lighthouse, lit in 1915, sits on top of an impressive and massive granite rock formation… weather beaten into a series of sensuously worn, smooth and rounded shapes. It is preserved as a Canadian Federal Heritage Building. This is from our 2006 trip.
