Uhlerstown Covered Bridge

Watercolor… The 101-foot long, Town lattice truss, Uhlerstown Covered Bridge was built in 1855-56, spanning the Delaware Canal at Lock 18 in the village of Uhlerstown (formerly called, Mexico), Bucks County. It is extremely well preserved, although steel support beams were added below the deck in 1985. The canal towpath, extending roughly 60-miles between Easton and New Hope, Pennsylvania, and once encompassing 24 locks, most of which still exist in either some version of preservation or complete deterioration, is now a Nationally recognized, historic hiking and biking trail.
